I heard that when you press LB + B, you can effectively throw your opponent during the fight. I've tried this several times already today and all I get is strike when I press those buttons together. Can someone please tell me why it's not working? Does throw only work for Goku?

I haven't really used it myself, but there is a part in the training mission where they teach you how.

They tell you what to press, but I always end up striking instead. I don't know why other people can do it, but me.

Ok I just went back into the game again, when I used Goku and pressed block and ki blast buttons, I was able to throw. But when I tried it on my created character, the throw attack does not work. He goes for a strike/charging strike instead. How do I change or fix him up?

Just to be sure, are you playing a saiyan? I remember in xenoverse 1 the throws looked quite different but were functionally the same. The saiyan was particularly weird as it was iirc like three hits, none of which involved grabbing, but essentially fulfilled the same function in getting past a block.

Check and see if that charge attack works on blocks, if it goes right through then it's a throw in the game's view, even if it's just him/her punching.

Is it by chance Raditz's attack here you're seeing when you try to throw? It's the fifth one.

This should be better, the first one is for saiyans, if your character is a saiyan, you're doing it right, the game is just really liberal with what "throw" means :p

Earthlings also do a few punch and kick attacks now that I've looked more. Best way to check if it's a grab or just some attacks is to have them "grab" someone who's clearly blocking. If they go right through, it's a throw, if they block it it's a normal attack.

If your attacks look like any of the custom characters in the second video I just edited in, you should be fine.

I can't change it to other type of throws?? Also, can they go super saiyan or not?

Earthlings only go kaioken or mystic/ultimate form a la Gohan, and sadly no, you can't change the throws from what I know, certainly not on console. I don't know if Xenoverse 2 lets you do that either.

Can I change my race now? Also, regardless of what race you pick, you can still max out all stats right? This is not MapleStory where you can only max out certain stats for different types of characters?

You can change your race again at the end of the game or just start a new one if you aren't too far. And I'm not sure but I imagine so.

How do I see or know what hair color, nose type, ear, and eye color I've picked for my character? Because when I go to customize equipment in the pause menu, they don't show up those appearances.

I don't believe that's possible, not while I was playing anyway.

So if I want my character to be a saiyan at the end of the game, I can do that? And what if I want to give him a super saiyan and super saiyan god/blue transformation ability? Can I do that too or not?
